Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about applying with Lela Boom.
Do I pay anything to use Lela Boom?
Lela Boom never charges a recruitment fee; hiring organisations pay for our service. For US-based candidates there is nothing to pay. Nurses joining our international programme pay some exam and visa costs, which are listed in full on the international nurses page.
Why don't you name the hospital on the job ad?
Our clients ask us to keep their names confidential while they recruit. Your recruiter shares the full details with you before you are put forward, and you decide whether to go ahead.
How soon will I hear back?
Within two business days of applying. If a role is urgent, we may call you the same day.
Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes. Apply once and tell your recruiter which roles interest you. We will also match you to new roles as they open.
Do you sponsor visas?
Most roles need existing US work authorisation. A few accept internationally educated nurses through the EB-3 route or Canadians on TN status. Each job page shows its visa position.
Are these permanent jobs?
Yes. Most are permanent, full-time hospital positions with benefits. Details are on each job page.
What documents will I need?
Your CV, your licence details and any certifications such as BLS or ACLS. You can upload them when you apply or send them to your recruiter later.
How do you use my information?
We use it to match you to roles and only share it with a hiring organisation after we have spoken to you about that specific role. See our privacy notice for details.
