Who we are

Lela Boom Consulting Group ("Lela Boom", "we") is the data controller for personal data you give us when you use this site or apply for a role. Contact: careers@lelaboom.com.

What we collect

  • Contact details and where you live.
  • Your experience, licences, certifications and work authorisation.
  • Documents you upload, such as your CV and licence.
  • Records of our communications with you.
  • Equal opportunity information, only if you choose to give it. It is stored separately and is not used in hiring decisions.
  • Technical data such as pages viewed and how you reached the site. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you accept them.

Why we use it

  • To assess your application and match you to suitable roles (our legitimate interests and steps you ask us to take before a contract).
  • To put you forward for a specific role, with your consent for that role.
  • To meet legal obligations.
  • To measure and improve our job advertising, if you accept analytics and advertising cookies.

Who we share it with

Our recruitment partners and hiring organisations in the United States, only for roles you have agreed to be considered for; and service providers who host this site and our systems. Sharing with US organisations involves transferring your data from Kenya to the United States. We put appropriate safeguards in place for these transfers.

How long we keep it

Up to [24] months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing careers@lelaboom.com. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya or the data protection authority where you live.

Residents of US states with privacy laws

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to know, delete and correct your data and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Email us to exercise these rights.
