An acute care hospital in the Florida Panhandle is hiring a Cardiac Med-Surg RN. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.

About the role

In this position, you will assess patient condition at admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and communicating changes in status to the care team. You will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring while maintaining thorough, timely documentation of all care delivered in the patient's medical record. Medication administration is a core responsibility — you will monitor patients for therapeutic response and act appropriately when unintended responses occur. You will also serve as a patient educator, translating complex medical information into clear, understandable language for patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care.

What you need

• Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum education)
• Registered Nurse
• Acute care RN experience required; experience must be within the last 3 years, unless the candidate has several years of RN experience, in which case it can be within the last 5 years
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule

Nights with rotating weekends.

Pay and benefits

$29.92 - $44.88/hr plus $4 sign-on bonus
