A regional medical center in Coastal Georgia is hiring a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.

About the role

Working under the direct supervision of the circulating OR RN, the CVOR Surgical Technologist assists the operating surgeon throughout cardiovascular procedures. Core responsibilities include setting up and managing instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical cases; preparing the room between patients; and cleaning and preparing instruments for terminal sterilization. The technologist also assists with patient positioning and transport, and performs counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before incision closure.

What you need

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
• Experience in OR required
• One to two years of CVOR experience is required
• Must hold current certification in Surgical Technology
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule

Full-time position with day shifts on 10- or 12-hour rotations (starting 6:30 AM), rotating weekends, and on-call requirements dependent on schedule.

Pay and benefits

$28.00 - $38.00/hr plus $15,000 sign-on bonus
