About the role
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse delivers individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care in collaboration with physicians and the broader care team, using established nursing models to assess, perform, teach, and manage patient needs. Core responsibilities include conducting regular pain assessments and reassessments following intervention, executing provider-ordered procedures and monitoring while maintaining timely and thorough documentation in the medical record, and anticipating patient needs proactively. The RN also plays a central educational role — translating complex medical terminology into accessible language for patients, families, and caregivers, and preparing them for follow-up care and self-management, including medication guidance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
What you need
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- (RN) Registered Nurse license
- 1 year of Acute Care ER RN experience required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Schedule
Night shift with rotating weekends.
Pay and benefits
$30.60 - $45.90/hr
