A freestanding emergency department in the Florida Panhandle is hiring a FSED RN. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.

About the role

The FSED RN delivers professional nursing care through the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and outcome evaluation — in a collaborative environment alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team. The nurse exercises independent clinical judgment appropriate to their level of experience and knowledge, considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost when planning and delivering care, and integrates current research findings into practice. Patient and family education, ethical collaboration, and adherence to established patient safety guidelines for reporting significant medical errors or unanticipated outcomes are central to daily practice. The nurse also contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues and fulfills unit-specific competency requirements for the freestanding emergency department setting.

What you need

• 3+ years of recent (within the last year) Acute Care ER RN experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held in another state, active FL RN compact license required within 90 days of hire. Advanced Nurse Practitioner license acceptable
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required within 30 days

Schedule

Nights with rotating weekends; mixed shifts with rotating weekends available.

Pay and benefits

$29.92 - $44.88/hr plus $10,000 sign-on bonus
