An acute care hospital in North Central Florida is hiring a Neurology RN. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.
About the role
Reporting within the neurology department, you will assess patients at admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and communicating changes in patient status to the care team. You will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring, administer prescribed medications, observe patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action when unintended medication responses occur — documenting all care thoroughly and in a timely manner in the patient's medical record. A meaningful part of this role involves patient and family education: translating complex medical terminology into understandable language so patients, families, and caregivers fully grasp the diagnosis, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up steps.
What you need
- 1 year of RN experience required (any clinical setting considered, including LTAC and Home Health)
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
Schedule
Days or Nights, both with rotating weekends.
Pay and benefits
$29.73 - $43.20/hr plus Shift Diff: Night Diff : 4.25. & Weekend diff: 3.00 Sign on: Case by Case (Not Guaranteed) Relocation: Case by Case
