A teaching hospital in Central Florida is hiring a Registered Nurse RN Open Heart (CVOR RN). This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.

About the role

In this position, you will provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing open heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures within the cardiac operating room. You will apply specialized knowledge of cardiac anatomy, surgical instrumentation, and hemodynamic monitoring throughout the intraoperative phase of care. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader surgical team to anticipate needs, manage equipment, and maintain a safe procedural environment. The role carries on-call responsibility approximately once per week and one weekend per month, with the understanding that department needs may require adjustments.

What you need

• 1 year of Open Heart (CVOR) RN experience in an Acute Care environment Required
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA Healthcare provider) required
• BSN preferred
• CNOR preferred

Schedule

Days, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., with on-call coverage approximately once per week and one weekend per month, subject to change based on department needs.

Pay and benefits

$31.84 - $46.26/hr
