About the role
As a Medical-Surgical RN, you will assess patient condition at admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and communicating changes in status to the care team. You will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring, maintain thorough and timely documentation in the patient medical record, and administer prescribed medications while monitoring for therapeutic response and managing any unintended reactions. A meaningful part of this role involves patient and family education — translating complex medical terminology into clear, accessible language so patients, families, and caregivers fully understand diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Positions are available across multiple units, including Oncology and an Ortho Trauma unit, with opportunities to cross-train across acute care settings.
What you need
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree REQUIRED
- Willingness to cross-train; acute care experience preferred but not required
Schedule
Full-time, mixed nights shift with rotating weekends.
Pay and benefits
$31.70 - $47.54/hr, based on years of experience (the top of the range is for 18 years of experience). Sign-on bonus up to $20,000. Relocation: $1,500.
