An acute care hospital in Central Texas is hiring a Director Emergency Services. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.
About the role
The director is responsible for volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission and discharge planning to ensure efficient, high-quality care delivery across all sites. This role drives clinical quality by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices, managing variation in clinical practice, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards. The director also leads financial stewardship through active participation in the annual budget process, labor management, productivity monitoring, and identification of cost-reduction opportunities. Building strong interdisciplinary partnerships — including close collaboration with the medical director — and developing and retaining a high-performing nursing team are central expectations of the position.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required
- Master's degree preferred
- 3+ years applicable experience required
- 5+ years applicable experience preferred
- Strong, current ED director experience required; metrics and accomplishments must appear on resume
Schedule
Full-time, days, no weekends.
