An acute care hospital in the Florida Treasure Coast is hiring an Occupational Therapist. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.
About the role
The Occupational Therapist manages the complete occupational therapeutic care process for an assigned patient caseload, working in close coordination with physicians and the broader patient care team. Core clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and delivering purposeful and skilled therapeutic interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics. The therapist observes and documents patients' reactions to treatment and changes in condition, and communicates pertinent payor requirements to the physician, treatment team, patient, and family in a timely manner. The role also involves prioritizing caseload, determining daily staffing needs, and coordinating assignments and handoffs across the continuum of care.
What you need
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Must have at least 1 year of OT experience, whether in acute care, inpatient, or rehab
Schedule
Full-time, day shift with rotating weekends.
Pay and benefits
$32.62 - $48.93/hr plus $2 sign-on bonus
