A regional medical center in Central Florida is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.
About the role
Working under general supervision, the RRT sets up and administers both routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures for patients across all age groups. A significant component of the role involves the application and operation of acute care ventilators for continuous short- and long-term mechanical ventilation. Therapists are expected to work in a self-directed manner when the full-time Team Leader is not present, maintaining all department and hospital records and entering accurate therapy documentation into the hospital information system.
What you need
- 1 year of RRT experience
- NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- Completion of a two-year AMA approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree or equivalent)
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
Schedule
Night shift with rotating weekends.
Pay and benefits
$27.42 - $36.95/hr, based on years of experience. Relocation assistance considered case by case.
