A community hospital in Northern Virginia is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.

About the role

Working across emergency, critical care, and acute care settings, the Respiratory Therapist assesses patients' respiratory status through focused exams, breath sound interpretation, and airway evaluation to determine the need for intervention. The therapist delivers evidence-based treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance techniques, while initiating, managing, and adjusting both invasive and noninvasive ventilation and responding swiftly to clinical changes or emergencies. Additional responsibilities include assisting with artificial airway placement, supporting stabilization of newborns during deliveries, educating patients and families, and serving as a clinical resource to physicians and nursing staff. The therapist also maintains respiratory equipment through setup, operation, cleaning, and preventive maintenance, and transports ventilated patients safely in accordance with infection-prevention standards.

What you need

• Registered Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP-State) licensure
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate, or Certificate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• New graduates will be considered
• Onsite interviews will be required

Schedule

Full-time, nights only with rotating weekends.

Pay and benefits

$32.95 - $41.42/hr plus $1,500 sign-on bonus
