An acute care hospital in North Central Florida is hiring a Respiratory Therapist. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.
About the role
In this position, you will deliver, set up, and maintain both routine and non-routine respiratory therapies and equipment — including oxygen, aerosol therapy, and ventilators — in accordance with physician orders and generally accepted respiratory care practices. You will perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gases, monitor patient responses, and apply knowledge of medication side effects and proper dosages used in respiratory care. The role requires effective communication with physicians, patients, and clinical leadership, as well as the ability to teach, assess, and reassess patients and team members. You will also be responsible for recognizing and reporting signs of abuse or neglect in patients.
What you need
- 1 year minimum of RRT experience required (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or critical care unit); candidates with home care and/or long-term care experience will also be considered; CRT experience will also be considered
- FL State Respiratory License Required
- NBRC – RRT/CRT Required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Schedule
Nights with rotating weekends.
Pay and benefits
$29.56 - $40.65/hr plus Sign On: NO SIGN ON
