A primary care practice in the Tampa Bay area, Florida is hiring a Respiratory Therapist. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.
About the role
Reporting within the Respiratory Care department, the Certified Respiratory Therapist evaluates patient respiratory needs and develops and implements individualized Respiratory Care Plans across all patient age groups. The therapist is responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short- and long-term mechanical ventilation, and sets up and administers both routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures. Accurate documentation of all therapy administered is maintained in departmental and hospital records, including the hospital computer system. The therapist is expected to be self-directed and function independently in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.
What you need
- Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or an AMA approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree); Bachelor Degree preferred
- Current Florida State License (CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist
- American Heart Association BLS health care provider required
- ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hire
Schedule
Full-time, nights with rotating weekends.
Pay and benefits
$27.09 - $37.92/hr plus $20,000 sign-on bonus
