A regional medical center in Western North Carolina is hiring a CPCU Nurse Manager. This is a placement managed by Lela Boom Consulting Group.
About the role
The Nurse Manager integrates clinical, human resource, and financial data to guide decision-making while ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards. The role requires demonstrated leadership through supervision, facilitation, and coordination of clinical care, as well as active collaboration with nursing leadership on organizational planning and evaluation of initiatives. Additional focus areas include promoting evidence-based practice, contributing to the professional development of staff and colleagues, and recruiting and retaining new employees by fostering a supportive environment for growth and learning. There is an on-call requirement of once every six weeks, functioning primarily as administrative call.
What you need
- BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, BA with MSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.
- National Certification in area of specialty within one year of accepting the role. Certification may be in leadership or area of clinical practice. Those actively pursuing degree must obtain national certification within 1 year of graduation.
- BLS Healthcare Provider
- A minimum of five years of recent nursing experience; 2 years in relevant clinical hospital experience with demonstrated leadership skills — charge or manager experience is required
- Post-cardiothoracic background required
- Previous leadership experience preferred
Schedule
Full-time, day shift with rotating weekends and administrative hours; on-call requirement of once every six weeks (primarily administrative call).
Pay and benefits
$90,000 - $125,000 per year plus Sign-on bonus available
